Wow! People need to remember that we ARE different races! There is absolutely no harm or foul in stating the obvious, just because someone mentions aloud that there are different races -Black, White, Hispanic Oriental and such, does not equate to being prejudice or even bigoted! Being a racist by grammatical definition means you are aware and recognize the differences in the whole of the human species, only the common, accepted slang definition refers to or has any connotation to anything evil, wrong or hateful. All Brad said was “If you were looking for Black-ish tonight, yeah, this ain’t it. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy White-ish,” What exactly is racist (bigoted) about that? Is there not a TV sitcom called Black-ish that focuses on the perceived life of a modern day black family? Country Music is predominantly white, always has been just like Rap is predominantly black -whats the problem? If Country Music to labeled racist because it is mostly white then why isnt the same true for Rap artists? If having a sitcom entitled Black-ish and there still be a Miss Black America and a United Negro College Fund as well as The current media blitz on preserving H.B.C.s (Historically Black Colleges) can be seen as a positive in our society as to strengthening the African American community and uplifting the values, traditions and cultures of that heritage, then why isnt (cant) the same be true for WHITE America? Was it not White Christian men that founded this country? Was it not the WHITE MANS LAWS (Britains) that became the basis for our Constitution, was it not the white man that ended slavery in this country on his own accord and even went to war against his own brother over it, how about womens rights, was it not a white majority that got it passed in this country? The answer is yes to all of the above! I did not mention them to promote the white man as I feel these issues should be inherently important to all of mankind regardless of race. I mention them solely as a counter weight to the demeaning and putting down of the Caucasian race and to prove in-spite of the errors committed by some Whites in history, that just like every other race the Caucasian race has its bad apples too and that the world needs an attitude adjustment for the constant demeaning and degrading of anything deemed White in nature or origin. I am a racist in the correct use of the term and proud of it, while not being a bigot!!! Get over yourselves people and try thinking individually for a change instead of just accepting what the world (which is actually a small group of people trying to mold the world into their image) is telling you as to what is right and wrong, what is acceptable and what isnt and why!!!
