Wow! Seems like forever that Ive seen or talked to my Gateway Family. I am back in Shreveport, and my mother is back in the nursing home. All the doctors could do was prevent other blood clots from forming, but dissolving the ones that are presently in her lungs is just a race against time. HOWEVER, We do know WHO has TIME in HIS HANDS! The doctors are talking to us about Hospice. Tomorrow, my youngest daughter, Chaynler (pronounced Chandler) will be admitted to Willis Knighton Pierremont at noon for yet another surgery removing an inflamed stricture in her small intestines. This is due to Crohns Disease. This will be her third such surgery since she was 10-years old. My God! The first week in January it was my missing grandchild; Last week, it was my mother. This week, its my child. Trials do come to make us strong. If Im crying its because I would trade places with either of these ladies in a heartbeat. I surely would. But the tears arent fear tears, but joy tears. For I may not know what tomorrow holds, but I know WHO holds tomorrow. I look forward to seeing any Gateway family member who chooses to come and pray, talk, laugh and/or sing with me tomorrow at WK Pierremont. You may call me @ 318-658-8739. I will surely need The Gateway Prayer Connection whether you are in my presence or not. I love you all. This, too, shall pass.
