Wow. So, Ive been getting some...well...interesting friend requests lately. In order to help out my future prospective FB friends, Ive decided to post a list of my TOP 10 DISQUALIFYING THINGS TO LOOK FOR: 1) If your entire modeling portfolio was shot with your 2003 Nokia phone and edited with Microsoft Paint, um yeah, dont bother. Im all for newbies, but come on. 2) If you have a photo of yourself wearing a ski mask and holding a gun and it was NOT part of a planned photo shoot, um yeah, dont bother. You can also expect a visit shortly from your local police department. 3) If you have one photo on your page and it was taken from a magazine - also with your 2003 Nokia phone - um yeah, dont bother. Seriously? 4) If you are a jihadist and have photos of violent anti-American stuff plastered all over your page, um yeah, dont bother. Im from NYC. Lets just say we wont get along. 5) If you spend 90% of your time posting rude, gross, and insulting comments on models pages, um yeah, dont bother. Actually, please do bother so I can block you and report your waste of an existence. 6) If you live in Rwanda, Algeria, Indonesia, Pakistan, Burma, or Yemen (the list could go on and on) and have NOTHING to do with the photography, fashion, or modeling worlds, um yeah, dont bother. Nothing against countries with a low view of human rights or rampant human trafficking. Really. 7) If you have friend-requested me twice and I have denied you both times, um yeah, dont bother. Are you actually that slow or do you just not pay attention to all the friend requests you send out? Hmm. 8) If you have 1,000 photos of Ray Bans on your page, um yeah, dont bother. I already have sunglasses...thanks. 9) If someone probably wouldnt even talk to you in a well-lit public setting outside a police station, um yeah, dont bother. I value my life and the lives of my friends. Edgy is cool. Terrifying...not so much. And finally... 10) If have far, far more bathroom mirror selfies than photos someone else actually took of you, um yeah, dont bother. If you look that good, you should be in front of a photographers camera! Just saying.
