Wow. The Coups Shadowbox was a crazy experience for all involved, the audience and performers. I have to say it was probably my favorite Coup show yet. Thank you to everyone that was involved. Last night, I forgot to thank Nan Eastep, who made the suit Ive been wearing a lot lately, which I wore in the 9pm show. She also came through and did some last minute alterations for the bands costumes that saved us. Jon-Paul Bails art blew everyone away. David Szlasas video art/projections/lighting design put dazzled us. Every band, every performer, every crew member and stage hand gave so much. Sorry so many missed it. I wish we could have fit more people in there. Fire codes. Next time. Thank you to Marc Bamuthi Joseph for making this happen for us at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. A lot of times, there are people in positions of influence in the art world that just give you lip service- but this dude is not from that tribe. He saw the vision from the get go, and rallied folks to help us do it. A huge thanks goes to Zsa-Zsa Rensch for helping to keep things together. Below are a bunch of pictures from the show that I quickly stole from people on instagram, twitter and facebook. Ill go through tonight and credit everyone. There were some great photographers and videographers out there last night, so Im sure there will be more great pics to come. Next up for The Coup: Grand Rapids at Pyramid Scheme- August 21st Detroit at The Magic Stick- August 22nd Lakewood, OH (Cleveland) at Mahalls- August 23rd
