Wow!!! This is what not do when you want a snake identified!! We were sent these photos today to ID the snake in these photos at the facebook page sunshine coast what snake is that. The photos came through with the question is this a tiger snake? Found at the falls. Referring to Gardner Falls, Malaney. So as many might have guessed the snake is a highly venomous Rough-Scaled Snake. Either way tiger snake or rough-scaled snake bites can kill so no wild caught venomous snake should ever be handled like this even by an extremely experienced handler. On another day this could have ended very badly. To finish on a good note neither the snake or the handler were harmed. Crazy!! Also goes to show that just because dangerous snakes can bite doesnt mean that they will. I have come across 2 rough-scaled snakes lately and both were a delight to work with.
