Wow! We have been busy thus summer. Several people at The Abbey Team have been beavering away with paint brush and welding torch and all to improve the facilities for the users and the general public. Some of the work will be obvious but much of the work has been going on beneath the service to make the rig and stage areas serviceable for many years. All the stage lighting has been removed, cleaned and tested. On 31st of August we are launching are new season so this is your chance to come along and see what we have done as well as come and see some of the exciting and dynamic shows that are coming your way in this. There will be stands from all the regular users as they advertise their groups and forthcoming shows. There will also be periodic entertainment on the stage from Rabble, Sudden Impulse, Masqueraders and NAODS. The evening is open to both current friends and users of the theatre as well as the general public, so please feel free to spread the word. You can find out more about volunteering at The Abbey, and there will be plenty of chance to chat and have a relaxing drink as both the coffee and licensed bar will be open.
