Wow, a very interesting piece, indeed. Its not surprising to me the way the Virginia coast looks, just thinking about my city alone. Since we started looking at moving back I had heard a lot about how they were trying to buildup midtown and downtown and how it was driving poverty further uptown than before. My immediate neighborhood remains remarkably unchanged since I was growing up here. Im interested how the continued population growth and commercial buildup in the City Center/Jefferson Commons areas will affect us over time. You can definitely see the spectrum in our 16 mile long city as you run further downtown and the numbered streets dwindle into the low numbers.
