Wow, get to know your relatives. I just found out my aunt June was a living art exhibit at Salvador Dalis 1971 NYC print show. She is quite an artist herself, actually. She was a dancer at the time and made herself up to look like the print in the link below where the photo of Dali is surrounded by butterflies on a white background. A photo of her was featured in the New York Times article on the exhibit. In some of her other pursuits, she could be found hanging by her hair and teeth 20 feet in the air as an acrobat for Ringling Brothers Circus, modeled for Factory artists including Andy Warhol and was a dancer in the clubs of Morocco in the 60s. She was also an original pioneer of creating city gardens in abandoned lots in the East Village. I remember her on a trapeze doing an interpretive movement performance at a hip downtown theater at age 70!
