Wow, how stupid is this…? Today’s ‘Herald Sun’ (page 7) alerts its readers to a local State MP’s “Funding U-turn”. Everyone, but particularly voters in Caulfield, should read this before they go and vote: heraldsun.au/news/victoria-state-election-2014/liberal-mp-in-funding-uturn/story-fnocxssc-1227130081719 While today’s scandal might be called “Promises, Promises”, an earlier boo-boo might be headlined “Buyer Beware”, which both conservative local paper the ‘Glen Eira Leader’ and the ‘Australian Jewish News’ covered up: danbymp/content/pdfs/profsouthwick.pdf This received even more prominence at the time by making it onto page 3 of the ‘Herald Sun’, Australia’s biggest daily newspaper. Finally, it seems another has been caught out not revealing her affiliation when writing political letters. Kate Ashmor probably didn’t want to mention Bill Shorten’s soaring popularity (danbymp/content/pdfs/newspoll.pdf) when she covertly wrote a letter to the ‘Australian Jewish New’ after being elected to a local liberal faction: danbymp/content/ashmor2.jpg
