Wow, last night was incredible! I would like to repeat Sean Palmers thank yous to everybody involved with last nights event. Honestly, without you guys and girls HOTR wouldnt be at the hight of where it is today. To those who are not aware, our 6th HOTR showdown was held last night and it couldnt have resulted any better! All 24 fighters, well and truly went to battle last night. There was lots of blood, lots of sweat and I am sure a few tears were shed. Some epic toe2toe wars, alongside some devastating early stoppages, with an atmospheric crowd like no other pretty much sums up yesterday evenings event for me. As a dedicated fight fan and a fight promoter, this is the total satisfaction you could dream of when putting in the hard graft that Sean Palmer and myself do when organising these events. In my opinion, the 3 USL title fights lived up to the every expectation I had! George Wyatt VS Dan Whits : WOW, here is two tough and focused warriors with a huge fight career ahead of them. And what a battle they had, Two well rounded fighters mixing it up using the USL rules to its full advantage, both trading serious blows via punches and kicks for the etire fight. This war ended in round 2 , with a TKO via ground and Pound decision, in the favour of the new USL Welterweight Champoin Gucci George Wyatt. Jon Foster VS Ashley Tapper : This USL heavyweight title battle had been chopped and changed a couple of times due to the DEVIL injuries. Foster stepped up and was ready to face who ever we put in front of him. The opportunity to have a shot to take the title home meant everything to Foster. With two days notice, Well rounded Ashely the smasher Tapper stepped up as a last minute replacement, to challenge Foster for the USL Heavyweight Title. Both fighters did themselves extremely proud last night, but there could only be one winner. Tapper overwhelming Foster in round 1 with devastating head punches, ended the fight early with a TKO via ground and Pound decision, in the favour of the new USL Heavyweight champion Ashley the smasher Tapper. Joe Wyatt VSReuben Mckenzie : My words can not do this fight a single once of justice! Again, here is two exceptionally tough and skilled fighters that are a credit to the sport! After two rounds of gruellin Striking action, Wyatt was ahead on the judges score card, mainly coming from some vicious ground and Pound domiation throughout the battle. Then 1min 40 sec of the 3rd round Mckenzie landed the huge head shot he was Hopeing for and followed it up with some intense and accurate blows on his grounded opponent which left the referee with no option but to end the fight with a TKO via ground and Pound decision, in the favour of the new USL Middleweight Champoin Reuben Mckenzie My upmost respect and congratulations goes to all 24 of last nights competitors. We are looking forward to having you all back on the HOTR card again 👊👊 Luke Lauri
