Wow..max is really paving the way and helping everyone learn!...the reason for his sat drops and lethargy is an obstruction he has in his heart..with a normal Fontan operation the conduit (however you spell it) is external to the heart, whereas Maxs was placed inside the atrium, so tissue and/or clots are obstructing the flow..the surgeon has not seen this before, however has some ideas on how to help as he seen something similar performed in Belgium 15years ago. So it means another open heart, but unsure of exactly what is being done in his heart until the surgeon is physically in there seeing it. He is confident he can help Max, but could be a very, very complex operation. How soon this operation is done will depend on an MRI of Maxs brain tomorrow- they need to see if he has had another stroke, but the neurologist is hopeful that it is only severe migraines as he was quite good with his movement this afternoon. Please keep our miracle man in your prayers!!
