Wow, one of the true greats of ESPN passed from his battle with cancer. Stuart Scott was one of the reasons why I started watching Sportscenter during my youth. His energy and sheer passion for his craft served as a reference how I should embrace the concept of pursuing a career as opposed to languishing at a job. My prayers go out to the Scott family. Thank you Stuart Scott for adding a certain level of happiness to my days in the way you conducted the highlights of some of my favorite sports teams such as The Florida State Seminoles, The Miami Heat, The Los Angeles Lakers, The Florida Marlins, The New York Yankees, The U.S. Olympic Teams, and of course The Miami Hurricanes. Thank you for reminding us that even if you are going through an apparent defeat you are not defeated and you sir were not defeated by cancer because you defeated cancer in the manner in which you lived.
