Wow, think Im only recovering from Saturday night now ! Feeling cold without my beard but very proud to have been a part of such a great event. My RESPECT and THANK YOU to my biking Buddy Joseph Pinky Delaney who came to me a while back with the idea of cutting off his long hair and donating it to Heartfelt Hair, a foundation that makes hairpieces for children who have lost theirs through treatment for cancer, I agreed it was a really cool idea, so did Frank Kane and on Saturday Night in Foleys almost 100 of our biking buddies agreed also. Joes hair is now on its way to restore some dignity and give some comfort to very ill children. Of course we decided to have some fun also and Frank Kane, Mick Hoare, Keven Hussey, Tommy Mc Loughlin , Pinky and myself are all soooo much colder today having had either our legs or chest waxed or head or face shaved on the night to raise money for Bethany House, womens and childrens Refuge here in Longford Town. ...lots of fotos posted already to show our humiliation LOL. Foleys Pub provided the venue and food, Sinead Reilly did her usual magic with our free raffle with some fantastic prizes from Egan Tyres Ballymahons, Dick Rafferty motorcycle clothing, Bike World, Kanes Garage, Moto, and many more. My old Buddy Tommy Kelly stepped in at the last minute and along with his blues band rocked the house. Great to see so many friends travel such long distances to support us, Mick and Ella brought a crowd from Sligo, Kieran Brennan came from Monaghan, our Buddies from Dublin, Slane, Trim and all over all seemed to enjoy the nite and donated so generously. A special THANK YOU to my Brothers and Sisters from Gutter Mutts Mcc Eire for their continued love and support. As I said on the night, there are so many people to thank it would take forever and Id still forget or leave someone out but to EVERYONE who came on Saturday nite, ye are legends.to those who could not make it but sent donations and messages of support THANK YOU ALL. It made me, as a Biker very proud and as a Bethany House Volunteer very grateful to be able to hand over, on your behalf, 2180 euro on the night to Teresa Gilchrist our Manager in Bethany House.
