Wow, this is amazing! Words are hard to compose, but Ill give it a shot: Art, to me, is less about esthetic perfection and more about the meditation of expression: raw (not altered), true/natural (not forced), and totally in the moment. The viewer then receives a gift: they get to observe/experience a real communication or storytelling which can speak to them and affect/touch them deeply. It was always the acting(meditiation, raw expression) part of dance that I valued the most. This meaning, for example, that I enjoy the performance of a stiff 90-year old moving to the music with all their heart, much more than a skilful accomplished dancer performing mainly with their ego. There is an unmatched value in heart and soul that surpasses any value in esthetics, so greatly... Its like eating an organic veggie from the vine versus a clump of refined sugar.
