Wow this winter is going by fast!! Before you know it the sun will be shining and our swimming pool will be open!!!!! Thinking of camping this coming season? Here are a few hints on what you need to bring.... be sure to watch everyday as we update our page and post ideas and deals..... A camping checklist is, of course, a great tool to make sure you bring all essential items with you. It helps you to remember everything you need and makes sure you dont forget the essentials. It is a good idea to print out a checklist and refer to it every time you are packing for a camping trip. Everybodys checklist is going to be different. I have provided some basic checklists for you, but it would be best for you to tailor it to your needs, modifying it after every campout so you end up with what works best for you. Most of our familys camping is what is known as car camping, meaning usually our car is right on our site and we dont have to haul anything very far. This is the easiest form of tent camping. Keep in mind how far you will be hauling your gear when packing for your trip. Shelter camping checklist: • Tent** • Stakes** • Hammer/Mallet** • Stake Puller • Rope • Tarp for groundcover under tent** • Tarp for rain fly if necessary • Broom • Dustpan • Small doormat for tent entrance Clothing camping checklist: • T-shirts • Long-sleeved shirt • Shorts • Jeans/Pants • Socks • Underwear • Pajamas • Bathing Suit • Jacket or sweater • Rain Jacket or poncho • Hat • Bandana • Closed-Toed Shoes (Sneakers or Boots) • Sandals or flip-flops • Laundry Bag Personal care checklist: • Shower Shoes/Flip Flops* • Toilet Paper (keep in Ziplock bag)* • Towel* • Washcloth/Scrubby* • Comb or Brush* • Soap (bar or liquid)* • Shampoo* • Conditioner • Hair Styling products • Toothbrush* • Toothpaste* • Deodorant* • Shaving Cream • Razor • Feminine Products • Toiletry Bag • Over the door hooks • Wipes* • Bug Spray* • Sunscreen* • Lip Balm • Medications/Contact Lens Care Watch for more checklist and camping ideas though out the week……
