Wow, took the dogs for a walk in our neighborhood and met some very cool people. A little girl gave me an orange because it was so hot, all in all five different kids helped me walk the dogs. Met a community group that brings breakfast and lunch for the kids in the apartment complex in our neighborhood. Finished my walk with a young veteran who still wears his kevlar because of his PTSD but loves animals. Very proud of Eyre and Scout for being great canine ambassadors for the kids - a couple of them were scared but eventually I convinced them to pet the dogs and hold their leashes. Definitely making this part of my weekly routine.
