Wow what a day, what a year! In many ways it was nothing like I thought it would be. Being off work for a year with Sarcoidosis and no closer to fixing it after 5 hospital visits, 3 Mayo visits and I have no idea on the amount of tests done. I would have never dreamed it. But it has been a good year in many ways, two grandchildren born Hunter in january and Savannah in Oct. I have been able to go to swim meets, baseball games, football games, gymnastic meets, dance classes, 9 birthday parties, the holidays with my family and got a new fur daughter Sophie. I was able to buy a house and start putting my touch on it. Renewed friendships at my 40th class reunion from Heritage Christian . I was able to visit a friend in TN and she returned the visit when I moved. My girls are healthily and happy, my brothers and sisters are doing well. Come February, the whole family plus many friends will be going with my Dad to Cancun to celebrate his 80th birthday. A party like only my father can party. At 80, he is still working, still has his social activities (Crown Night on Tuesday) plus takes an active part in his great grandchildren lives and going to the Pacer games. I miss flying like crazy and today was a bitter sweet day as Chautauqua Airlines ( the flagship of the Republic Family) flew its last flight. I spent 8 plus years on my little plane. The crews had fun, we were safe and are still close. Once a Red Badge always a red badge, even though some of us are grey or blue now. Shuttle American will now be flying the CHQ flight. And even though I am Shuttle now. It will be sad not to see the CHQ on the flight routes. My year in a paragraph. As I write I see many more blessings than trials. My friends have been a blessing beyond measure and there is not a day that goes by that I dont thank God for each and everyone of you. To my flying family thank you for all you love and support.
