Wow, what a great race day! Perfect weather, a good field of boat and some great close racing. The only disappointment was that there were no Formula Futures on the course for the first time in many years. Thank you to Team Casson (Mark, Kass and Kaine) for bringing Mad Dog, Ruff Puppy and Frisky. Everyone’s favourite “Uncle”, Alan Baker bought the Stock Bar & Grill F4-S machine along and ran with David Minton in Premier Fasteners and Matty Peck in Octane racing. David and Matty putting on a great show every race. Thanks to our loyal club inboards – Buddha (Tony Willis), Mouse (Warren Goulding) and Bulldog (Jamie McCutcheon) and a first timer to Deepwater, Joshua Clifton in the beautifully prepared Bruiser. There was some great side-by-side racing. Thank you also to our dedicated volunteers: Kye our Diver, Rick our Paramedic, Brian Armstrong – Deepwater’s Official Photographer, the voice of Deepwater – Craig Lynne, Matt Degnan, Dave Gray, Greg Oxley, Dennis Brew, Larry Short, Dave & William Sullivan, Team Cohen (John, Brock & Damon), Jefferson Brereton, Glenn Burns and our fearless leader Max Sullivan. Without these guys doing what they do, the drivers don’t get the chance to go out on the course and do what they do. There will be a sizable break until the next Club Day, due to the huge amount of big race meetings coming up, so we hope to see you all at our Club Christmas Race Day on Saturday 6 December.
