Wow, what a morning. Had two hot does in heat run laps around the blind and cross the sendero a dozen times within a couple hundred yards in either direction. Both were being chased by young 8 pointers. Then the real fun started as buck after buck crisscrossed back and forth trying to find them. Lost count of the young spikes, 4s, 6s and 8s. Easily a dozen different bucks. Then a big tall as aaaalmost mature 8 with a kicker stood broadside at 50 yards. Clicked the safety and changed my mind. Let him grow another year and hell be a hoss. Then a beautiful 10pt 4 yr old came out within 15 yards. Man what an awesome morning! Add to all that two herds of pigs and a flock of turkeys all in an hour and a half. Had my head on a swivel the whole time. When I got this place I was lucky to see a buck. With a few years of holding back and being patient it has really paid off. Couldnt be happier.
