Wow...what a weekend! Hard work really pays off and the results makes me one proud mom of two amazing boys! Joey Elinski competed in his first varsity wrestling tournament. (he wrestled one year for j.o. in 2nd grade). Hes a freshman now. He wrestled 5 different guys (all older than him). Lost 2 and won 3 (by pinning!). He took home a third place medal! Things can only get better! First school match is this Tuesday. Cant wait! That was Saturday. Then today, Jimmy demonstrated his incredible skill as a dancer, as well as a choreographer! His solo was a contemporary dance in which he choreographed. He earned a 1st place platinum trophy for the dance which is a very good score. He also won 5th place overall for teen solos. The 2 small group numbers he was in took high gold each and they also won 4th place overall for small groups. Jimmy and the 4 girls he danced with (Sarri, Kaari, Syd and Angela) truly make up a winning group! Then, the frosting on the cake came when Jimmy was awarded an invitation to participate in the Circle of Stars dance routine at the 2015 Nationals in Florida! The routine will be choreographed for these kids and they will be the opening act. Kaarina and Sarri also got invitations to dance in the circle of stars. So exciting! Wait, Im not done and sorry about all this. I also got promoted to 1st Gup Red Belt with a stripe in Karate. Next test will be for a dark blue belt then finally a black belt. I started karate in Jan. 2011. And finally...Jimbo got a puppy which he named Fritz after his dad. It is a german shorthair pointer. Incredible weekend!
