Wrapped in Kindness 2 Corinthians 6:4-6 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, NKJV Love is commitment. If people love one another, they are committed to each other. Not committed until something happens but committed regardless of what happens. Loyalty is in short supply in this world today, and even in the church, we fall short. Many people have given up the tradition of attending Sunday church because they have forgotten the importance of connecting with a local community. Its within these connections of the church that we find love, joy and an outlet for service. As we walk in loving commitment to one another, we see God work in amazing ways. Proverbs 3:3 Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. NLT Imagine if the church tied loyalty and kindness around our necks. Think about the blessing of living together in close communion with like-minded people who walk in mercy and grace. Friends, this is the churches call, and its also Gods plan for reaching the world. Plug into a local Bible teaching church and allow God to use you to minister to His people. Life Lesson: We should love God, love people and be nice. Dear God, Thank You for Your church. God fill us all with Your Spirit and wrap loyalty and kindness around our lives. Give us humble hearts and gentle spirits to follow You and to love one another no matter what happens. Use us to change the world. In Jesus name, Amen.
