Writer friends, have you ever walked away from a writing project halfway through? I accepted a very ambitious writing project before I started my current contract job and Im trying to finish it in the hours after work. Its exhausting and the editor in the UK is mad that I didnt hand my work in on time (though she originally told me it was due on Dec. 1 and then changed it to Nov. 10th). Im tired of writing on this ridiculous project and Im tired of the crabby editor who is sending me mean emails. Im ready to walk away from this and the money attached. Should I do it? Am I being a baby? Do I need to worry about any legal stuff? P.S. Its a 10,000 word Austin travel guide for a UK-based travel site.
