Writers, historically defenders of free speech, progressive thought, open dialogue. Not so these days occasionally though conspicuously. Im embarrassed by some of my fellow Iranian American authors who over and over prove themselves to be conservative in all sense of the word--kissing the hand that slaps them again and again. Luckily the sun is setting for those on the wrong side of politics, ideology, and progress. Its been a real spectacle to watch pro-Israeli-government folk squirm. Glad I live in a time when finally it holds no power to cry anti-semitism if you support Palestinians. Shame on those who try to take us back--but Im not surprised by who you are. People notice, when you delete comments, when you dismiss and try to bully those in the right. Lets just say Im not surprised that the same who often are so low on ethics and morals are also the ones low on good art. Not humoring fools anymore, have a good day!
