Writing and scribbling on currency notes are illegal. This is not - TopicsExpress

Writing and scribbling on currency notes are illegal. This is not favoured by the Reserve Bank. Every currency note issued by theReserve bank includes many security features that ensures theauthenticity of the notes. This help people identify a fake currency note from a real one. These security features include watermarks, identification line (that runs vertically across the note) etc. While checking for fake currency, these currency notes are checkedby machines (not manually) to reduce the labour. When names, numbers etc are scribbled on currency notes, it becomes impossible for a currency-checking machine to identify a real currency from a fake currency. Thus, the scribbled currency becomes invalid for use.RBI becomes compelled to print new currency to replace these and this causes a huge loss. Due to this reason, the reserve bank has made writing on currency notes illegal......but IN our colleg.....persons in account section is encouragin it by asking us to write our roll number in it....if they hav any doubt whether is it fake?.......
