Writing is a Craft no different than any other Trade. There is a way to build steps, a porch, or a wall. By law a tradesman needs to be licensed in order to be insured. In order to be licensed one has to past tests to ensure their knowledge of their Craft is at a level for them to provide services to the public competently. So if one doesnt want to take the time to learn literature and story telling. Sorry but writing isnt a hustle to get rich for nom writers. Studies show the average self published author doesnt sell 500 copies, or earn more than $5,000 a yr from their work. Is there a substantial amount of money to be earned for a self published authors? Writers who are able to build a catalog, and understand the business. Hustlers wont last, and talent is too common. In the arts talent without business sense is useless.
