Writing sample Amalia slowly walked up to the line where the thick yellow fog condensed. She gingerly put out her hand and let her fingertips touch the barrier. It rippled, but had a bit of spring to it. She pushed further and felt her hand pass through it as if it were a gelatin dessert that she fancied. No sooner had her hand gone through the barrier a sharp pain shot up through her arm. She pulled back instinctively and backed away from the barrier. She looked at her wrist. It was still healed but she could still feel the dull ache of pain that had just shot through her. “My wrist is mended in here, but it’s still broken out there isn’t it? You could have warned me.” Amalia said. “I told you to brace yourself. It’s her rules out there, not yours.”
