Writing this a.m. in NOLA. It has been a different get a-way for us which have given us many memories (good and bad). It was definitely nice to slip away and eat and shop in the quarters. Cafe d Monde (misspelled) was wonderful, powdered sugar and all. Ha Bourbon was a wonderful restaurant with lots of atmosphere. Of course, the streets were full of Ohio/Bama fans, which some were really happy. haha. On the negative side, encountered one harassing man who was high or drunk. He tried to walk w piece with us saying all kind of junk to upset us. I told him God bless you and Jesus loves you. He finally walked away t his next victims. Sad. We also got our car towed. I confess I wasnt very spiritual about it. We thought we parked in a safe spot that was legal. There wasnt a sign by our spot saying anything different. But two parked cars back there WAS a 2 hour limit parking sign which we hadnt seen. I had never experienced this before and was pretty upset. Had to take a taxi to the towing yard and pay too much money to get our car, which I will say is a scam and NOLA should be ashamed to tow tourists vehicles and charging high fees to get them back. Receiving a ticket is one thing but towing...oh well, enough said. lol But we decided to not let it ruin our night and just smiled and praised God anyway. Today, well grab some breakfast and head home. It has been fun and adventurous! ha! I keep reminding myself that nothing surprises God and He is in charge of my life. Looking forward to 2015 and the blessings that await me and my family. Because were children of God, we should expect Gods blessings. Happy new year FB family!
