Writing this actually breaks my heart, but I am trying to do whats right for my very loyal, loving, best friend, Rocky. I rescued Rocky the day he was to be euthanized for kennel cough. Yes, I said kennel cough! I saw the ad about him & something about his sweet face & smile made me drop what I was doing & run to the kill shelter. On my way there I was nervous because I never got a dog on whim, or from a shelter & I never owned a pitbull, but the moment I met Rocky I knew he deserved to live. His spirit was full of life & joy and he was instantly happy just being by my side. The way he was with me the day I met him, you would have thought he was always mine. I brought him home where I have 2 older, bonded golden doodles & they were not happy with the new addition. They have not accepted Rocky from day 1. In return he disliked them for disliking him. I have hired a trainer & tried to make all 3 dogs like each other, its just not happening. For the safety of all dogs I am rehoming Rocky. Heres a little about Rocky- I was told he is a little over one year young now. I had him neutered. He is up to date on shots. He has a GREAT personality, he likes people. Rocky was good with my 8 yr old nephew a few times, but other then that hasnt been around kids. Rocky has energy, but not too much energy. Usually a nice walk down the block and allowing him to smell the grass & discover sticks does the trick to fulfill his energy needs. I do not have a fenced yard so if he can go to someone that does that is a huge plus and he probably wouldnt even need to be walked if he had a fenced yard. Rocky is going to need to be the only dog. He does love to be with me and I am sure once he is acclimated with you he will love to be with you so he should go to someone who isnt gone all day and night. His new owner should have patience knowing that Rocky ended up at the kill shelter in May as a stray, came home with me for the next 6 months & now will be with you in yet another unfamiliar place. With the constant change and yet another new environment I would expect some adjusting time & patience. I am so saddened to be rehoming Rocky & I owe it to him to make sure he goes to the right family. He deserves to find a true forever home with his next move. So if youre looking for a beautiful, sweet pitbull who loves to cuddle, please consider Rocky as your new best friend. CONTACT stardaze7759@yahoo IF INTERESTED
