Danson Kakamega County Assembly members’ on wednesday afternoon session saw the formation of Kakamega Bunge FC to represent the county at national level. The team only comprising members of the house will participate in the upcoming competition against other counties. The captain of the team, Honorable Sayyed Omsiritsa Mbayi, and fellow colleagues will embark on practicing immediately after the afternoon sessions, at Bukhungu stadium. Members chose a lady county representative as their goalkeeper. The speaker of the county assembly ordered the welfare department to take care of all financial support, which the players of the county assembly will need, including refreshments, playing kits and general equipments necessary for the game. Some members were in oppose to the immediate effect of the practice, claiming it will cause muscle pulls to most of them and others claim they didn’t have means of transport to the stadium. Some County representatives wished the speaker could let them go to the field right away rather than listening to presentations of reports from committee’s public accounts and investments. The Minority Party will play against the majority party to come up with the best team of Kakamega county assembly. The team will play against Nairobi county assembly on 18th August in Nairobi.
