Every year during the remembrance period, especially on the 11th of November which is the anniversary of the Armistice and the end of the First World War, the mainstream media focuss on the British and home nations soldiers sacrifice.. But what of the West Indian, African and Asian and other commonwealth soldiers? Their very real and significant sacrifice during the war is conspicuously absent from the public awareness.. In particular, Asian & African soldiers are missing in action when it comes to interviews, documentaries, parades and war movies. ww1commonwealthcontribution is an organisation that commemorates the vital role that soldiers, sailors and airmen from the Commonwealth played in The First World War.
