Moreover, how do the teachers survive with this tiny amount of money?? আপনার জীবনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একজন শ্রদ্ধেয় শিক্ষকের নাম কি? আমি মোটামুটি নিশ্চিত, অধিকাংশ নাম আসবে হিন্দু সম্প্রদায় থেকে। সারা দেশের প্রায় প্রতিটি স্কুলে হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের কিছু শিক্ষক ছিলেন, যারা ধর্মের মতো করে শিক্ষাদান করতেন। তাদের পরিচয় শুধু শিক্ষকই ছিল, অন্য কিছু নয়। ধর্ম-বর্ণ নির্বিশেষে মানুষ তাদের শ্রদ্ধা করতেন, ভালোবাসতেন। এসব হিন্দুরা দেশ ছেড়ে চলে গেছেন, আমরা তাড়িয়ে দিয়েছি। আমাদের শিক্ষার এই করুণ পরিণতির পেছনে এই বিষয়টিও একটা বড় ভূমিকা রেখেছে বলে আমার ধারণা। Dosto, a vast number of teachers are recruited by money, political and muscle power and influence. Some teachers know nothing about the teaching techniques and arts. Those who good teachers are ill treated by the politically recruited teachers whose only job is to oil to the authority, principal, and headmaster. The good, dedicated and academically expert and skillful teachers are now cornered. The teacher recruitment has become a kind getting jobs in police; it means that some educated jobless are rushing to the job of Inspector of Police by spending 8 lacs to 10 lacs; they are doing so as an investment, since it is possible to get back money withing a few years. Similarly, when the teachers are recruited by money; whereas the talented and academically brilliant people are driven away from the teaching track; so there is a huge possibility of breeding less quality students. Moreover, the money minded and private tuition prone teachers are taking the place of dedicated and talented ones. Now teaching is evaluated by how many students come to you for private tuition not for class performance or depth of knowledge..
