Written by some ignorant asshat who isnt trans and hasnt an effing clue what goes on in our heads. Yes, trans children know they are different by age 5. We are not confused. Its ignorant jack offs like this that spread misconceptions and flat out lies that weak minded sheep gobble up like candy. I usually live my life quietly but Im pissed off with this garbage. Its attitudes and beliefs like this that lead to violence against our community. The bigots keep saying theyre not doing anything wrong, its just words. Trans individuals are more likely to be violently assaulted than any other demographic. A trans woman in Atlanta was attacked on a commuter train a few days ago. She was beaten and stripped of her clothes by two assailants. What did the other passengers do? They stood around video tapping the crime and cheering the assailants on. When are these bastards going to get it? The continual berating, mocking and de-humanizing of our community makes us fair game. According to them, we should be treated as sub-human, unworthy of any decency. From the preachers screaming from the pulpit that freaks like us deserve to die to the talking heads in the news and political arenas spouting their lies and saying theyre protecting the American family, they all contribute to the violence. They try to wash their hands and say its only words. Well, you only need a spark to start a fire. If I have offended anyone, too damn bad. Unfriend me and be on your way if youve got a problem with it. I was taught by my parents to fight for what I believe in. And, the battle has just begun.
