Wrote the following for our military magazines. Thought Id share. 6-3-14 Dear Editor, President Obama latest act violates his oath of office to protect the people of this country and uphold the Constitution. I am referring to Sgt Bowe Bergdahl and the prisoner swap, five terrorists for one traitor. According to the news Bergdahl went AWOL from his unit in Afghanistan seeking out the Taliban. Having said that, my biggest beef with Obama is the fact that he released five known murders, which is tantamount to letting five killers go from our jails to kill again. The fact that Obama dragged out the family of Sgt. Bergdahl using them for a photo op and not bothering to do any investigation into the mans actions is an embarrassment to our country. I doubt Obama will be out in front of the cameras pulling another political ploy when Americans or our military personnel are taken by terrorists looking for a deal. This is another affront and black eye to the American people. Being a 100% disabled Marine Vietnam veteran and former law enforcement officer, I find President Obama’s leadership reprehensible.
