Wrote this for my wife the other night...thought I would share with you all why I love her so much. Kind of a modern version of Proverbs 31. Enjoy. To my wife Alicia, Many women are great cooks, some can even create a gourmet meal from leftovers, even less have mastered how to shop on a budget, and very few find a way to always keep the refrigerator full but never empty the bank account. Many women are content with their life, less are content even in poverty, and even fewer can enjoy their life honorably to the fullest living on the street, or living in a huge home. Very few are truly content whether they don’t even know where their next meal will come from, they are living on the street honorably as a single mom, or have enough money to pay a car in cash without thinking twice. There are many women who can change the brakes or the oil on a car, but very few can fix a car themselves, change a flat in the rain or pop a clutch when it stalls. Even less are able to do all this without ever a word of complaint. Many women have gone from working low level jobs of menial labor and been promoted into leadership. Some have even done this while being a mom and wife. Few have been able to become successful business owners or leaders in their field while being a single mom, or while going through huge marriage problems and raising multiple children. Even less have done this while suffering intense loss and pains, yet still producing successful and accomplished children who can lead their own families with confidence. There are many women that have become great achievers and accomplished great things while surmounting numerous obstacles in life. But few have gone from living on the street, betrayal, battling life-long illnesses, and are able to translate Master degree level classes from their second language into another language with only a sixth grade education. You probably see where I am going with this so I will end by saying that there are so many reasons to love and admire a woman for all that women accomplish. But the reason that I love and admire you more than any other woman I have met, is because although it is true that many women can and have done many of these things…you have done them all, and have done them excellently.
