Wrote this poem about a group called Friday Harbor Rant and Rave. Tried to incorporate as many examples as possible. If you are an avid reader you will be reminded of several of the years hot topics. Enjoy We like to rave We like to rant We like to argue bout Mar Vista plants. Opinions a plenty, from all walks of this island. jokes about cyclists, 911 some be dialin. Like a dog off a leash, we let comments run free Siting freedom of speech, from the tops of cut trees Cellphones, put them down, and slow drivers speed up!! Dont roll through the stop signs, Traffic rants fill our cups. Rave to the sunshine, and the mom and pop stores. New pizza, good coffee, clean windows and floors. Rant tourists in summer, and loud neighbors at night. Uproar for the carolers without their brake lights. The Rock creates raves, so does, removed trash. Chainsaws and benches, and vandals who slash. Homeland department, with millionaire leases, Idling cars on the ferry and sidewalk dog feces. One topic, one thought, large or microscopic. We all drop two cents in, until someone yells STOP IT. Cops parked in crosswalks, and post office clutter Bike paths filled with woodchips will make some hearts flutter. Drunk driving, and drug use, some say no one sees. Then spend 3 days disputing where its proper to pee. Some think theyre more valid, due to years on the isle Others think its crazy to put newcomers on trial. Never know what will trend, and sometimes its surprising. All depends on the words that your post is comprising. From bad meals, to good deals, pleasant service and parking. High school plays, art supplies and abandoned dogs barking. Some think this groups good and some think its all bad Scroll through just one month, youll see more raves have been had. I think some take it literal, or too serious. Bottom line different opinions, make some furious. I think overall, its a good town outlet. Sometimes when you vent it can cure your upset. Like a note in a drawer, when your temper is heated Write it down, wait a day, and your tempers defeated. Rant an Rave for so many, is the new water cooler. Conversation can be a good fire de fueler At its worst it breeds anger, and strong disagreement. At its best it unites, and fills people with gleement....(creative license) So pick up your poison, comment antidotes But Weather good posts or bad, this here group has my vote!
