Wrotten wisdom from Mama June: I have served God for a long time, - TopicsExpress

Wrotten wisdom from Mama June: I have served God for a long time, and I have seen people come and go through these years. I have watched as people come to a church and leave a church and come to a ministry and leave a ministry. Two truths are evident from my observations. The first is how important people are to the plan and workings of Gods kingdom. God does not work apart from people. It seems to me it would be a lot easier on God to do His work by Himself. But no! He works through people-people who preach, sing, serve, greet, usher, lead, etc. So people are important. But here is the other side of that truth. When people leave a church, a ministry, for whatever reason, the kingdom just keeps on going. No one of us is indispensable to God. Important but not indispensable. That is the description of those of us who serve God. So be happy that you are important to God and have been chosen to serve Him. But be humble enough to recognize that if you do not show up someone will take your place and blessings. When I get weary and want to cease from showing up and serving I remember this truth-important but not indispensable. It keeps me in the running and keeps me from getting to puffed up about myself. It will do the same for you.
