X-MAS FOR CHILDREN WHO LOST PARENTS AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION FOR THEIR CAREGIVERS: This is the best Christmas in my life - and why? Thanks to private and funding support, fairstartglobal can now expand further the worlds only research based free six month online education in quality care, to the caregivers of the millions of children who lost contact with parents. And the demand for attachment based education is enormous, just look at our 2014 since we started from scratch in 2012 - with a good program and nothing else: SOSChildrens Villages brought four great people from Rwanda who will translate and use Fairstart to strenghten and rebuild community care systems. In Estonia, Fairstart has been translated by leader of foster care Jane Snaith and leader of institution workers Meelis Kukk, and is now spreading all over Estonia. Kamikado Kazuhiro, Japanese professor in child psychiatry, spent his spare time for a year, translating all Fairstart programs into Japanese, to enhance de-institutionalization, and educate foster carers. Last week I was invited to the University Hospital in Istanbul, where the child psychiatry staffs will use Fairstart to educate the thousands of poor families who have moved from the countryside to Instabul, and now face breakdowns in family systems. In March 2015, were going to Indonesia again to train more of the 8000 orphanage leaders in the Bahasa version with ReactIndonesia. The presentations of Fairstart at the World Association of Infant Mental Health in Edinburgh and the EUSARF Copenhagen conferences were a success, and we were commended for transforming research into easy-to-implement programs. In 2015, well create a global online program instructor education, where instructors can get support while training, exchange their experiences, and have access to research based professional education - giving recognition and professional pride to all the people who care for children without parents. We sincerely thank all the dedicated volunteer professionals, researchers and supporters worldwide and Translators Without Borders who spend their spare time translating and implementing the training programs - we wont stop until we offer quality care training and set higher standards for education in all languages! Thank you to all our supporters, and all the best wishes for a happy Christmas to all of you who care for vulnerable children, from the FairstartGlobal team: Niels, Morten and Nina (and a few thousand others around the globe).
