X-Men past, present, and future take a stand in X-Men: Days of Future Past. My review. Bryan Singer who directed the first two installments in the franchise is back for this one which unites many of the characters from the first three films as well as from Matthew Vaughns X-Men: First Class. The future X-Men are under attack from the Sentinels and now someone has to travel back to stop this from happening. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is the chosen one for the trip back to the 1970s. The all-star cast includes James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellan as Eric Lensher aka Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Halle Berry as Storm, Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Evan Peters as Quicksilver who is a scene stealer, among others. Peter Dinklage plays the head of Trask Industries who is the one responsible for the Sentinel Project. This is a really well constructed film uniting the best of both X-Men time frames. Really good from beginning to end. Plus the usual bonus scene after the credits with a tease to the next installment. This along with Marvels Captain America: The Winter Soldier are the two best film of the year so far. My Rating: A.
