XB4 & XB2 dominated at French Cup This weekend, the French Cup was held in Montbrison – France. For this last National off-road 1/10th electric race, the club of Montbrison prepared a very nice track with smooth and technical jumps as well as very technical a fast parts. About 100 drivers were presented at this race. XRAY cars worked very well from the first practice of the day with Lorenzo Crolla, Valentin Peuziat and Mathieu Briere trusting the front spots. Qualifications went well for the XRAY boys in 2wd category - Mathieu Briere making TQ in front of Valentin Peuziat 2nd, and Lorenzo Crolla 3rd. In 4wd, same trio with different order, Mathieu still on TQ, Lorenzo in 2nd and Valentin in 3rd and Christophe Jadot joined them in the A main with the 11th spot on the grid. Despite having to fight with traffic in their heats, Lorenzo and Valentin managed to get some clean runs to ensure this results. In 2wd, Mathieu took the win of the first 2 finals and Lorenzo took the A3 main which gave him the 2nd overall position. Valentin made some mistakes and had some problems in finals which gave him the 6th overall position. In 4wd, first A main was taken by Lorenzo in front of Valentin and Mathieu who made some mistakes during this final. Mathieu took the 2nd and 3rd A main to give him the overall win in front of Lorenzo and Valentin, Christophe Jadot finish 12th overall. XRAY car was the car to beat this weekend with very fast lap times and very constant drive. 2wd results : 1. Mathieu Briere - XRAY XB4 2wd 2. Lorenzo Crolla - XRAY XB4 2wd 3.
