XL Galan featuring strong LJ field, by Alfons Juck, EME News STOCKHOLM (SWE): The XL Galan in Stockholm will feature a top class long jump field including home favorite Michel Torneus who will be vying for his 4th consecutive win here after setting a national indoor record of 820 for the win last year, informs the IAAF. He will be joined by World silver medalist Ignisious Gaisah of the Netherlands (829) who was 2nd here in 2012 and 3rd in 2011, China’s Li Jinzhe, who returns afters finishing 3rd in 2013 in an indoor best of 8.11, 2007 World and 2008 Olympic champion Irving Saladino of Panama will also compete, 2010 European champion Christian Reif of Germany will make his first appearance here and 2008 World Indoor silver medalist Chris Tomlinson of Britain returns after a 5th place finish last year.
