XY Falcon Build - Stage 2 No doubt you will recall my numerous posts relating to the rust and accident repairs on our XY Falcon build. As is often the case, the rust damage uncovered during sand blasting turned out to be worse than expected. However, it was the extent of the accident damage that was the big surprise. The car had sustained a couple of big hits in the past that had not only caused significant damage around the point of impact, but had also caused buckling in other areas. Anyway, that is all history. Stage 1 of the job successfully dealt with these issues and we now have a body and panels that are as good as new. I am pleased to report that the cars owner has signed off on the Build Sheet for Stage 2. The first task was to fabricate a set of chassis connectors to provide some extra rigidity to the subframe. Our new fabricator Adam completed this task. As you can see from the pics below, Adam has done a first class job. Next task will be to widen the tubs to allow some serious rubber to be fitted. I will keep you posted as we progress through Stage 2. Cheers Leon
