Xavi Hernandez will be remembered as one of footballs all time - TopicsExpress

Xavi Hernandez will be remembered as one of footballs all time greats, but he has revealed that despite all of his success, which includes 3 Champions League titles, a World Cup and 2 European Championships among many other trophies, he does still have one minor regret. He has worn the same shirt as the likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Ronaldinho, but it is Manchester United legend Paul Scholes he feels is the one name missing from his illustrious list of team-mates. The Barcelona player, who recently announced his retirement from international football, is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying, When I think about all I have won with Spain and Barcelona and all the great players I have played with - it is impossible for me to have any regrets. But he continued to add, Maybe one small regret is that I never got to play with Paul Scholes - but I was never going to leave Barcelona and he was never going to leave Manchester United. Xavis admittance perhaps comes as little surprise. The 34-year-old is known to be a huge fan of English football and has openly admired Scholes for a number of years. In 2011 he spoke glowingly about his English hero describing him as the most complete and best central midfielder that he had seen in 20 years.
