Bought a thicker Xr 650 sprocket for R40 more and turned it around. 60% more contact surface on the splines and it is designed to stop the wear. Picked this problem up over the weekend and nearly welded it. The original sprocket fits too loosely and is too thin for the power of these bikes. It line up with the chain slider and the 15 tooth get me better highway speed.
