Y TENIA QUE SER BORICUA!! AND IN BIKE!!!! Police Arrest Suspect 15 Minutes after Scotia Bank Robbery BY SOURCE STAFF — OCTOBER 2, 2013 A lone armed gunman, identified by the V.I. Police Department as 27-year-old Hilberto Serrano, was arrested Wednesday morning 15 minutes after walking into the Scotia Bank office in Sunny Isles and stealing an undisclosed amount of cash and then fleeing on a bicycle, police said. Initial reports from police on the scene indicated that Serrano entered the bank, demanded money and threatened the staff. The suspect fled the bank and got on a bicycle headed east. Police issued an all-points bulletin. Based on the description of the suspect, an alert off-duty officer identified him on Rattan Road in the vicinity of Rams Auto. The off-duty officer and members of Special Operations Bureau, who were seconds away, apprehended the suspect at 10:14 a.m. The stolen cash and the weapon used in the robbery were also confiscated, police said.
