Y is Nigerian govt interested in splashing money on ppl dat brings instant success to d nation? Each of d under 17 players dat won d world cup recently in UAE got 2 million each for working for just 3 weeks. Wot abt we d veterans(ex soldiers) who flew our national flag high in d various peace keeping operations both in Liberia n Sierra Leone? Wot abt our comrades fought d Nigerian civil war just to ensure dat Nigeria remain one entity? Lives were lost n some of us dat were lucky to be alive r suffering from one deformity or d other, ranging from amputation of legs or hands. I am nt against 2 million giving to d players bt at least, we deserve equal treatment for Christ sake. 3yrs n 7months of arrears of military pensioners is yet to be paid. Many of our comrades v died waiting for dis money while others cnt afford to live a descent live from d meager pension dey get. Same tin wit other civilian pensioners from different ministries. Its a gross injustice. We r watching.
