YAPS would just like to say a HUGE Thank you to the Cairns and Tablelands Recreational Motorcyclists who raised $3600.00 for the homeless animals of YAPS, with their Poker Run and Raffles held yesterday. (This money will be put towards a new quarantine area for our dogs) It was an amazing sight to see all the bikes taking off from Muzz Buzz Coffee, Raintrees at 10 am and returning to the Ellis Beach Bar and Grill around 3 pm Just over 180 bikes supported this event which was absolutely awesome with everyone saying they had a great ride and a great day out. Firstly YAPS would like to thank Steve and Andrew for brain storming this event and getting it up and running. At first they thought perhaps 50 bikes, then perhaps a 100 but they just kept rolling in! Also thanks to Deidre the wonder woman raffle ticket seller!! The support for the Poker Run to raise money for YAPS was outstanding and we would like to thank everyone who helped make this day the success that it was Patriots and VMC for their assistance in keeping the ride together and running on time. To all the sponsors, well these business rock!! So let’s support the business that support a local community charity such as YAPS Muzz Buzz Coffee, Cardzilla, Mareeba Workers Club, Ellis Beach Bar and Grill, Cairns Dive Centre, Wayne Leonard Motorcycles, Cairns Honda, Cairns Performance Motorcycles, Yorkeys Knob Boarding Club, Shiney Side Up Metal Polishing, Smithfield Barbers, Ol Skool Engineering, Cairns City Tattoo, Stay Upright Motorcycle Training, Bikecraft, BP Smithfield, Trinity Kawasaki, Bits for Bikes, Mortgage Choice Cairns, Razorback Barbers, Taste of Yorkeys, Carline Mufflers, Northside Raw Materials, Choppers Motorcycle Hire, Ludo Custom Paint, Trinity Beach Tavern and the Red Beret Hotel. And a special Thank You to all the riders who came out and supported the day.
