YARD N GARDEN GADGETS I consider this idea a huge time saver, although I suspect it may generate some comments/discussion with regards to sprinkling vs. deep root watering. We have 18 outdoor boxes, 10 of which are dedicated for broccoli. They were carefully laid out so the entire area could be covered by lawn sprinklers mounted on small wooden platforms. I used some plastic pipe/fittings to make for easy attachment to the hose. I run the sprinklers for about 20 minutes while tending to other things. Seems to work for us.
