YAY: NIGERIAN TROOPS, LOCAL HUNTERS, CIVILIAN JTF RE-CAPTURE CHIBOK (UPDATE) There is cause for jubilation as gallant Nigerian troops alongside local hunters, civilian jtf, have successfully recaptured Chibok, in Borno state, after boko-terrorists members seized the town in the dead of the night, reports todayng. According to reports, soldiers of the 7 Division Nigeria army yesterday, moved in a commando style with local help, and retrieved the seized community after a fierce battle that dislodged the insurgents. Some residents and villagers of a town close to Chibok jointly said, We saw large number of trucks filled with uniformed personnel moving towards Chibok; initially, we were scared but later realised they were soldiers as they did not harass us like the Boko Haram gunmen usually do, adding that they heard gunshots and blasts coming from Chibok for a long time. Also, a military source confirmed that Chibok has been recaptured, stating, We have since sent them parking from the town; it is now safe for people to return to their homes, However, the possible number of casualties recorded is yet unknown. Kudos to our gallant troops, hunters and civilian JTF.
