YAYI FOUNDATION YAYIi FOUNDATION YAYI FOUNDATION ABOUT US: Yayi Foundation, a non-governmental and non-profit making organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, is an initiative of Hon. Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (FCA). A descendant of Yewa kingdom, an articulate chartered Accountant, who served as Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Lagos State house of Assembly between 2005-2011, and also an instrumental to the passing into Law, a bill setting up Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, an independent revenue arm of Lagos State Government which as at today generates 15 to 20 Billion naira per month, supporting the massive transformation going on in Lagos State. He is also a serving member, Federal House of Representatives and the Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts. OUR ASPIRATION: The Foundation believes and aspires to aid massive creation and wealth through systemic empowerment of the people, using education as the vital tool; We see an improvement in the economic and social conditions of the oeople without discrimination, but with primary focus on disadvantaged areas within geo-political zones. OBJECTIVES: * Support government in the areas of research and analysis of data for meaningful development planning *Provision and coordination of assistance to very poor communities. *Economic empowerment of the less privileged *Educational support to indigent students *Provision of IT training to selected secondary school students. OUR ACTIVITIES: PAST AND PRESENT *Provision of WAEC/GCE forms to over a thousand youths, and ensuring their success through privately organized coaching, motivation and monitoring. *Provision of Financial support to critical cases of surgery for poor children *Provision of succor to many artisans and individuals to alleviate Poverty. *Material and financial support to communities, Clubs, Associations, Mosques, Churches, NGOs etc *Youth training and workshops on legislative knowledge and skills. *Our interest in Yewa/Awori people and Ogun at large. The Yayi Foundation has taken a keen interest in the development of Yewa Communities as well as Ogun state for two reasons: Without being shy, it is the home town of our founder, and charity they say, begins at home. However, we have identified it as a strategic location with an unlimited economic potential that can be supported in transforming the lives of its people. These opportunities as Agriculture-- with its vast fertile land suitable for all sorts of crops, Commerce aided by proximity to international trade, industrial potentials as well as nearness to a thick populated state of Lagos. No doubt, Yewa kingdom and Ogun State in general can be better, if we all unite, support the government and give all it takes towards the desired development. Yewa a ye wa oooo! Omo Ogun, Ise yah! Whatever can be done to ensure that our people are removed from the quagmire of all forms of poverty; be it intellectual or material, is an inalienable right of theirs, having been entrusted with their legislative mandate to serve Yayi
