YCLSA says “Wanna rock the vote? Register and vote ANC 9 – 10 November 2013” The Young Communist League of South Africa [uFasimba] urges all people who qualify to vote especially young people to register at their voting stations this weekend [November 9 and 10, 2013] for next year’s General Elections. The National and Provincial leadership of the YCLSA will be deployed across the country to help local branch members of the Mass Democratic Movement [MDM] and the Progressive Youth Alliance [PYA] to mobilise people and the youth to register. As the YCLSA we urge all young people who have not registered especially first time voters to take their bar-coded ID book, ID smartcard or Temporary Identity Certificate (TIC) to their voting station to register. Those who have voted before can sms their ID Number to 32810 to check if their details are still correct. People can also apply at any Municipal Electoral Office during office hours, but they have to phone first to make an appointment [Toll-free number 0800 11 8000]. The people must go out in their numbers to register and vote for the African National Congress [ANC] in next year’s elections.
